Welcome to the website for the Calcio 91 Girls.
This is the second year of competition for this soccer team and they are really establishing themselves as one of the
teams to beat in Arizona soccer. Calcio U-14 girls are a quality team, remaining undefeated against the likes of
Gilbert Arsenal Premiere 91 Girls, CDO Fireballs, and Mesa United. Keep up the good work girls!
For those of you looking for the feature player section, it has been foregone to expand upon the game comments section.
It was like pulling teeth trying to get information from these girls, so I've given up. If, however, they'd like to
still get their information in, I'd LOVE to put it up in the roster section. Just email me your info, and I'll get it
posted.

The Road to State Cup Continues...
Our first challenge was Sereno Blue and a challenge it was. Sereno Blue battled our
girls with heart and determination, however, two goals late in the game allowed the Calcio 91 Girls to overtake the Sereno
Blue team for a victory 3-2.
Our next game was against Mesa United. It was a hard fought game against a quality team,
however, Calcio 91 Girls remained victorius with a 2-0 victory.
With a well-earned win, Calcio 91 Girls have advanced into the semi-finals against
Sereno next week! CDO put up a good fight, charging ahead with a goal in the first half. They couldn't hold on
as a well-conditioned Calcio team fought to gain two goals and the win, moving on to compete against Sereno next weekend.
Good luck girls! Let's see if we can make it a straight-forward Championship this year!
Copa Calcio Champions!
Copa Calcio was another success for Calcio 91 Girls who succeeded in solidly winning every
game and garnering another Championship Title. Great job ladies!
Sereno Classic Semi-finalists!
It was a heart-breaking end to the Sereno Tournament when Calcio 91 Girls lost in PK's
to WCFC Premiere. The girls played an AMAZING game but thanks in large part to a very skilled WCFC goalie, could not
manage to land the ball in the net in regulation time. The game was close, and it was clear to those in
attendance that the stronger team was the Calcio 91 team, however, the ball didn't fall our way in the end. That's ok
girls. We'll get 'em next time. Calcio 91 was, however, the only Arizona team to advance to the semi-finals, joining
Dallas Texans Red, Slammers, and WCFC Premiere. Congratulations girls.
Tempe Thanksgiving Tournament Triumph!
The Tempe Thanksgiving Day Tournament was extremely successful with the Calcio 91 Girls again going undefeated to win
the championship. The girls played some regular Arizona rivals as well as teams from Washington and New Mexico (defeating
the 3rd highest ranked team in New Mexico 5-0). Outstanding play ladies!
Victory in Arizona Premiere League!!!
Calcio has sealed victory over the first half of the Arizona Premiere League season with a win over
Sereno 92. We started out strong taking 2 goals within the first few minutes of the game. Sereno came back with
a goal later in the first half and fought hard coming into the second half. The victory was sealed however, with a late-in-the-second-half
goal, finalizing the score at 3-1. Congratulations girls! 1st place in Arizona Premiere League--doesn't happen
every day and you should be VERY proud of yourselves!
Hammer's Cup Tournament-CHAMPIONS AGAIN!
What a tremendous accomplishment - Hammer's Cup Champion's 2 years running! The first game of the tournament showed
that our girls were excited and ready to play. The Honeybees were exterminated in a definitive 6-0 loss to Calcio.
The girls continued their dominance playing the Gilbert Select team, and winning with a score of 4-1. Our first semi-final
game was questionably officiated and we lost one of our players to injury. Fortunately Jen is fine and we hope to see
her back on the field with the girls soon. In spite of it all, we won the game 1-0 to move into the Championship.
The Championship game against Gilbert Select was somewhat hampered by the wind, however, the girls had to come from behind
twice to win the game 3-2. Congratulations Ladies!
